In front of over 2,500+ fans, five divisions with over 50+ drivers took to Laird Raceway on Thursday, August 4th for the third event of the 2022 race season in Northern Ontario.
Goulais’ Jay Palumbo (#90) held on the lead ahead of the Super Late Model standings lead Sault Ste Marie’s (#61) Dustin Jackson to take the checkered flag in the Super Late Model division. Sault Ste Marie’s (#3R) Shawn Ritchie rounded out the top three for the Super Late Models. Taking home his second straight checkered flag of the evening on August 4th, Palumbo held on to his lead in front of Jackson in the heat Modified division feature. Johnny Lawhorn wrapped up third in the entertaining 30 lap feature in front of a packed house. The Sault Ste Marie Bibeau brothers (#26) Dan Bibeau and (#08) Brad Bibeau crossed the finish line first and second respectively ahead of Echo Bay’s (#01) Jerry Ross in the Factory Stock feature at Laird Raceway. Anthony Mannarino (#12) and rookie Tyler Praysner (#5), and (#22) Shanna Harten put on an exciting Four Cylinder feature with Mannarino capturing the checkered flag with Praysner and Harten taking home second and third. Rookie Enduro driver Sault Ste Marie’s (#4) Dale Tucker held of (#96) Levi Weisflock at the finish line to win the Enduro feature. Devin Service (#97) rounded out the top three in the Eundro Feature.

Laird Raceway’s next event will take to the track with the green flag dropping at 7:00 p.m on August 11th with a full show of Super Late Models, NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds, Service Rental Factory Stocks, Atomic Blonde Factory Fours, and Lakeway Automotive Enduros.
