Following an exciting event last weekend, the open-wheel superstars of the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It are back in action on Saturday, July 30 at Peterborough Speedway.
With three different winners over the past three events, there is excitement in the air heading into this weekend.
T.J. Edwards left Peterborough Speedway smiling last October as he was able to secure the championship trophy with a fourth-place finish. Through five races this season for him behind the wheel of the No. 34 Modified, he has no results worse than third.
Jason Keen hopes to use his experience to run up front and put together a solid performance. He has scored three top-10’s in his last four appearances at Peterborough, including a fourth in the summer of 2021. He enters this weekend with a top-10 in 13 of his last 16 tour appearances.
2016 Autumn Colours Classic Champion A.J. Emms has been deadly consistent on the tour with only nine finishes outside of the top-eight in his past 48 series starts. He’s done well at Peterborough in the past, scoring eight top-five’s in 11 starts.
2018 ACC Champion Kelly Balson has been consistent, as evident by 11 top-five’s and 19 top-10’s in his last 24 series appearances. He has finished fifth and sixth in his appearances at Peterborough since winning.
Two-time ACC Champion Andy Kamrath enters this weekend with momentum on his side, after scoring the victory at Sunset Speedway. It’s also worth noting he has won seven of the last nine tour races.
Dale Reinhart enters this weekend hoping to keep the momentum rolling following back-to-back top-five finishes, marking his 18 top-10’s in his last 22 series starts. He has posted a track-best finish of fourth at Peterborough Speedway.
Wally Wilson hopes to be in the thick of the action this weekend, hopeful to break into the top-10 after placing 14th in the most recent event at Sunset Speedway. For the record, his track-best performance at Peterborough is 12th, occurring in the 2017 edition of the Autumn Colours Classic.
Luke Gignac hopes to keep the positive momentum rolling after scoring a seventh at Sunset for his seventh top-10 in the last 10 races. He has proven to be fast at Peterborough Speedway, winning the Chase for the Colours in August 2017, and just two finishes outside of the top-six in his last seven starts.
Ryan Dick enters this weekend hopeful of turning things around after experiencing mechanical issues at Delaware Speedway. He has scored a best finish of seventh this season, and placed 11th in the 2021 edition of the Autumn Colours Classic.
Tommy Robb finished right behind Dick last year in 12th, something he hopes to improve upon this weekend after scoring a pair of top-10’s in four starts this season.
Peterborough Speedway was the sight of Herb Walters’ series debut, to which he scored a sixth-place finish. Since then, he has been solid this year with three top-10’s including a fourth at Sunset in five races.
Jake Watson has been consistent all season, as evident by no finishes worse than ninth to currently lead the Point S Action Tire Rookie of the Year standings.
Marshall Schrenk has also placed inside the top-10 in all of his series starts season, highlighted by a fourth at Delaware Speedway.
Paul Townsend has been consistent in the past couple weeks, scoring a pair of top-10’s back-to-back highlighted by a seventh.
Tyler Liscum will hope to score his second top-10 of 2022 after scoring a best-finish of ninth at Delaware Speedway this season.
