On July 14th at Laird Raceway, 50+ cars took to the 1/3 mile oval to open the 2022 race season with Super Late Models, NAPA Auto Parts Michigan Modifieds, Service Rental Factory Stocks, Atomic Blonde Factory Fours, and Lakeway Automotive Enduro classes taking to the track after a two year racing hiatus in northern Ontario.
Dan Bibeau ruled his classes with winning both heats and features at Thursday Night Thunder with Dustin Jackson taking the checkered flag in the Super Late Model class. Chuck Siddell won the four cylinder class in the feature while Mike Hearty crossed the finish line in first in the modified class along with Tyler Praysner finishing first in the Enduro class.
Next up for racing at Laird Raceway will be the return of Thursday Night Thunder on July 21st with the green flag dropping at 7:00 p.m with all five classes taking to the track. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m with ages 18 – 74 ($20.00), under 17 and 75+ free while the pit gates open at 4:00 p.m with a price of $30.00.
